Originally designed for paramedics, the Haix Airpower X1 is now being adopted in a huge variety of industries across the world. 

Paramedics benefit from the leathers hydrophobic properties, meaning that blood born pathogens can't survive on the surface of the boot, helping to prevent cross contamination. 

The true success of this boot though, is the unique lace and zip system which is helping it become the preferred choice on oil platforms accross the world.  When you first get your pair of X1's, tie the laces to get the boot to fit perfectly.  From then on you'll be able to zip them on and off and always have a perfectly fitting, ankle protecting boot.

The benefits don't end there either:  Haix's unique arch support system, which helps improve posture, reduce back injuries and prevent the onset of flat foot comes as standard with whole Airpower range.  The X1 also benefits from having a climate control sytem regulated by full Gore Tex lining which moves moisture and heat away from the foot.  This was tested to the full on a recent trial conducted of the coast of West Africa where the X1 passed with flying colours

Upper Material: Waterproof leather, hydrophobic, breathable (5,0 mg/cm²/h), 2.0 – 2.2 mm thick

Inner lining: CROSSTECH® Laminat Technology; 3-layer CROSSTECH® laminate, watertight and breathable. Abrasion-resistant lining with optimized climate comfort for all seasons, espec. for flexible alternating inside and outside use. Superior penetration resistance against blood and body fluids (protection against blood borne bacteria and virus). Increased chemical protection.
Non-woven insole: Non-woven insole absorbs sweat and moisture
Food bed: Anatomically formed, exchangeable, washable, very good moisture absorption, dries quickly
Protective Toe Cap: Anatomically formed and well-padded protective toe cap
Protective Throughsole: Flexible protective throughsole
Sole: TPU/PU sole with robust street tread, superior bending comfort, highly wear resistant, non-slip traction - even in cold weather. The low-weight PU, impact-absorbing wedge ensures outstanding walking characteristics. Very good insulation from cold, oil and gasoline resistant, non-marking. Compliant with EN ISO 20345:2004
HAIX®-Climate-System: Climate System with Micro-Dry lining at top of leg
